The Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI) is calculated by standardizing each of the six included dietary antioxidants (vitamins A, C, E, manganese, selenium, and zinc) by subtracting the sex-specific mean and dividing by the sex-specific standard deviation, then summing these values.
