Fungi species from the genera Aspergillus, Fusarium, Verticillium, Trichoderma, Rhizopus, Penicillium, and Pleurotus can be used to synthesize nanoparticles of titanium oxide, copper, zinc, cadmium sulfide, gold, and silver, allowing for in situ incorporation of these materials into textiles according to Elsakhawy et al. (2022).
