A 2018 systematic review of 9 studies with 278 total participants found that while biofeedback for anxiety and depression in children and adolescents with long-term physical conditions (such as chronic pain, asthma, cancer, and headache) appears promising, it cannot currently be recommended for clinical use in place of or in addition to current treatments.
