The allostatic load index, calculated by summing high-risk physiological biomarkers including systolic and diastolic blood pressure, BMI, fasting glucose, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and CRP, was found to be elevated in black breast cancer survivors compared to black women without a cancer history.
