procedure
The process of sneezing involves four body systems: the nervous system detects irritation in the nasal mucosa and transmits signals via the trigeminal nerve to the brainstem; the brainstem processes the information and signals the respiratory system to open airways and inhale; the muscular system (chest muscles and diaphragm) and skeletal system (rib cage) facilitate breathing; and finally, the muscular system opens the glottis to release an explosive burst of air.
