The concordance between DSM-IV and ICD-10 classifications of anxiety disorders would be improved by removing the criterion for uncontrollability from DSM-IV, removing the clinical significance criterion from DSM-IV, and focusing more closely on the symptoms of hypervigilance and scanning as defined in DSM-IV.
