Keith Lehrer argues that a reliable cognitive process cannot yield justification unless the believer is aware that the process is reliable, citing the case of Mr. Truetemp, whose temperature beliefs are unjustified despite being formed by a reliable process because he is ignorant of the tempucomp device.
