The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) is a validated instrument used to assess multiple aspects of sleep quality over the previous month, consisting of 19 items that generate seven component scores: subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency, sleep disturbances, usage of sleeping medications, and daytime dysfunction.
