The researchers excluded individuals from the study who had a history or current diagnosis of neurological disease, stroke, transient ischaemic attack, brain injury, subdural or subarachnoid haematoma, infection of the nervous system, brain abscess, haemorrhage, skull fracture, encephalitis, meningitis, chronic neurological problems, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, head injury, or alcohol, opioid, and other dependencies.
