measurement
The average fresh-water footprint per tonne of animal-based products is generally greater than that of plant-based products, with the exceptions of milk, which has a relatively low water footprint, and nuts, which have a relatively high water footprint when measured on a per-tonne basis but not on a per-calorie or per-protein basis.
