The researchers modeled BOLD signal responses to experimental variables by fitting a voxel-wise general linear model (GLM) to each run using FSL FEAT. The model included 12 regressors of interest (targets, task-relevant, and task-irrelevant stimuli for faces, objects, letters, and false fonts) convolved with a double gamma haemodynamic response function, along with 24 motion regressors and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and white matter (WM) tissue regressors.
