procedureEach OASIS Project Repository is subject to a declared Applicable License selected from a predefined list, and contributors agree in the Contributor License Agreement (CLA) to grant this license to all contributions and releases.

claimContributors to an OASIS Open Project irrevocably covenant not to assert any patent claims licensable by them that are necessarily infringed by an implementation of their contribution, provided that the contribution is included in a Project Specification approved by the Open Project.

procedureTo be a member of the Project Governing Board (PGB), an individual must have signed and submitted an individual Contributor License Agreement (CLA), and if appointed or employed by an entity, that entity must have signed and submitted an entity CLA naming the project.

procedureIf a Contributor signs an individual CLA while representing an entity, the CLA is only effective if that entity has also signed and submitted an entity CLA.

claimOASIS Open Project Specifications inherit the license rights and covenants of the contributions included within them, as evidenced by the relevant repositories' Applicable Licenses, Contributor License Agreements (CLAs), and the Specification Non-Assertion Covenant.

procedureTechnical Steering Committee (TSC) members must sign and submit an individual Contributor License Agreement (CLA). If a TSC member is appointed by an entity, that entity must also sign and submit an entity CLA.
