procedure
The hemostasis phase of wound healing involves the following steps: (1) blood vessels in the damaged area constrict (vasoconstriction) to inhibit blood flow, (2) platelets are released and coagulate with fibrin at the wound site, and (3) the accumulation of platelets and fibrin forms a blood clot to seal broken vessels.
