The proposed experiment to test if conscious observation degrades entanglement without physical measurement involves the following procedure: (1) Generate entangled photon pairs using spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) with the state |Psi_ent> = (|HV> + |VH>)/sqrt(2). (2) Direct Photon A to a measurement station. (3) Direct Photon B through an 'observation zone' where a conscious observer directs attention without a physical detector, then proceed to a measurement station. (4) Perform quantum state tomography on the photon pair to reconstruct the density matrix and calculate the concurrence (C_ent).
