In a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) conducted in infancy, Bakermans-Kranenburg et al. (2003) concluded that 'less is more,' meaning that relatively short interventions with a behavioral focus on improving sensitive responding and limit setting by the parent led to the greatest increase in attachment security.
