procedure
During plant photosynthesis, chloroplasts absorb light energy to generate sucrose; this sucrose is catalyzed by invertase (INV) in the vacuole to generate glucose, which is then catalyzed by sucrose synthase (SUS) in the mitochondria to generate UDP-glucose, which is subsequently acted upon by UGPase in the cell nucleus and converted into polysaccharides by glycosyltransferases (GTs), with light participating to ensure energy supply for these processes.
