While it is generally accepted that one can acquire justification for empirical beliefs (e.g., that a taco truck is open) via testimony, it is debated whether one can acquire justification for moral or aesthetic beliefs (e.g., that an action is morally wrong or that a mural is beautiful) solely through testimony.
