The eight nuclear power plants saved by ZEC programs in New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Connecticut represent approximately 11.8 GW of capacity and prevent 33 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, equivalent to removing 7 million cars from the road each year.
