The Badr Brigade, which served as the armed wing of Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir Hakim’s Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), was one of the most significant Iraqi Shia groups trained by Iran during the Iran-Iraq War.
