In the OASIS Open Project process, when the Project Governing Board (PGB) or a consensus of contributors identifies a set of contributions as a Release, Group Release, Draft Project Specification, or Project Specification, the Maintainers must organize the material in the Project Repository as a distinct branch known as a Designated Branch.
