Contemporary migrant labor systems, such as Canada's reliance on agricultural labor from Jamaica and Mexico, domestic labor from the Philippines, and sexual labor from Latin America, post-socialist European states, and Russia, manifest problems similar to those encountered by indentured workers in Caribbean history.
