Ganster et al. demonstrated that man-made cellulose filaments with high tenacity can reinforce commercial polymers like polypropylene (PP), poly-(lactic acid) (PLA), and polystyrene for injection molding applications, improving mechanical properties and impact strength compared to glass fiber reinforcement due to their low density and anisotropic nature.
