Patients assigned to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavioral Activation Therapy for Depression (BATD) reported a significant reduction in pain catastrophizing compared to Treatment as Usual (TAU) at post-treatment (ACT effect size d = 0.45; BATD effect size d = 0.59) and at follow-up (both effect sizes d = 0.59).
