The feedback system in homeostasis regulation consists of four main components: (1) the variable to be controlled, (2) a sensor that monitors the variable, (3) a comparator or central processing unit where the information provided by the sensor is fed back into the system and compared with the specified value, and (4) effectors used to regulate the desired control variables.
