The Energy Information Administration (EIA) 2014 Annual Energy Outlook includes an 'Accelerated Nuclear Retirement' scenario which assumes that operating and maintenance costs for nuclear power plants grow by 3 percent per year through 2040 and that all nuclear power plants not retired for economic reasons are retired after 60 years of operation.
