Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a group of chronic inflammatory disorders of the digestive tract that includes ulcerative colitis, which causes inflammation and ulcers in the lining of the large intestine and rectum, and Crohn's disease, which causes inflammation of the digestive tract lining that can spread into tissues from the mouth to the anus.
