A Canadian study of mine-mill operations from 1995 to 2013 estimated that uranium mining and milling in Canada contributed between 0.53 and 1.1 grams of CO2-equivalent per kilowatt-hour of electricity generated, which is less than 10% of total nuclear lifecycle emissions.
