Light induces morphological changes in the packaging of anthocyanins, the distribution of vacuole compartments and subvesicular compartments, and the diffusion of anthocyanins from inclusions into the vacuole sap, allowing vacuoles containing anthocyanins to fuse, as reported by Irani and Grotewold (2005).
