Generalization in Neuro-Symbolic AI (NSAI) architectures is evaluated based on out-of-distribution (OOD) performance, which is the ability to maintain performance on data that deviates from the training distribution, and contextual flexibility, which is the capacity to adapt to changes in context or domain with minimal retraining.
