In the theoretical model for exciton transport within microtubules, the biorthogonal eigenspectrum was calculated by diagonalizing the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian for a system of up to 100 spirals of 13 microtubule protofilaments, with each spiral containing 104 tryptophan (Trp) dipoles.
