The COSPAR Policy on Planetary Protection (Fisk et al., 2021) mandates that mission reports include specific data points: estimated bioburden at launch, methods used to obtain that estimate, bioburden composition for Category IV and Category V restricted Earth return missions, decontamination methods, organic inventory for components exceeding 1 kg, intended distance from target bodies, orbital parameters, and end-of-mission disposition.
