Hemp biocomposites are limited to processing temperatures below 230 °C to avoid thermal degradation of the bast fibers, making them suitable for polypropylene and polyethylene plastics but unsuitable for polyamides, polyesters, or polycarbonates which require temperatures above 250 °C.
