procedure
System designers can reduce the likelihood of Large Language Model hallucinations and improve overall reliability by implementing five strategies: (1) input validation to ensure user inputs are accurate, complete, and relevant; (2) contextual understanding to design systems that understand the generation context; (3) error detection to flag potential hallucinations; (4) redundancy and diversity to reduce reliance on a single Large Language Model; and (5) human-in-the-loop to incorporate human evaluators and validators.
