The LegalXML Electronic Court Filing 5.0 (ECF 5.0) specification consists of a set of non-proprietary XML and Web services specifications, along with clarifying explanations and amendments, designed to promote interoperability among electronic court filing vendors and systems, and is in conformance with the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) 4.0.
