Richwagen et al. indicated that the ethanol extract of lavender woody stems may alleviate pain through ionic interactions between the cell membranes of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the flavonoid extract.
