In the Nurses’ Health Study, which followed 78,586 women over 10 years, women who worked 1–14 years on rotating night shifts had a multivariate relative risk of colorectal cancer of 1.00 (95% CI, 0.84–1.19), while women who worked ≥15 years on rotating night shifts had a multivariate relative risk of 1.35 (95% CI, 1.03–1.77) compared to women who never worked rotating night shifts.
